New EP+Video for Wishbrother

Finally we can share something we've worked on for the last couple of years/months. We would like to present you the new EP we recorded, entitled 'The Lost Page'. It features 5 songs which we are really proud of. Two of the songs we're directly written when we started this blog. Right after our inspiring trip to Kalimantan, while editing the movie, Rob and I started writing songs to capture the feeling from this lifechanging trip. I'm talking about 'Selfsaviour' en 'Pool of Dreams'. When playing those songs with eyes closed it brings us back. It would be great to go back one day and film the movie for the soundtrack we've written.
But untill then we had the honour to work with director Jan Erwin de Vlaming on the video for Selfsaviour. We are really proud of it and hope you will like it too. You can check our songs on the Wishbrother myspace and you can watch the video right here in full resolution or below! Enjoy!

Love in Spring .....

Its mid winter, but you can feel it; spring is on our doorstep.
With the sounds of Elbow I long for a bit of sun.
To touch the bit of warmth, when you glance outside with your sleepy eyes.
The first rays of sunlight, foggy because of the morning dew.
But clear enough to know that this is going to be a promising day.
We change from moody emotional people to lighter thinking easy going individuals, to start the game of being loved again.
Yes, being loved, as we also call; to fall in love and you want to be loved back.
Spring makes it easier for us to move around, to play, taste or commit.
We all long for the most favorite season, spring.
Everything around us changes, we change.
Ready to take new paths, new challenges, to explore and learn.

Congrats Barack!!

Congratulations to senator Barack Obama with his win on the USA presidential elections 2008. I watched CNN all night and am really glad that the new president of the United States is a Democrat.

The Republican are is over and a new wind of change will hopefully increase trust in the US administration again. Although as president Obama already said, a government can't solve all problems in short time and some issues will stay unsolved. Let's hope that the majority of his promises will be fur filled. Let's hope he won't let down the millions of new, first time, voters and can show them and the rest of the world that democracy really works.

A difficult task is upon Barack Obama, a task of rebuilding the US and to restore trust in the American society, on national and international level. We might see some major power shifts in the middle east. Depends on how far president Obama will go on issues like Israeli's vs Palestine's and the war against terrorisme in Afghanistan and Iraq. What will be the outcome of his solutions to solve the economical ression and to restore the economical situation in the states. All questions and issues that shall be the focus of his first term.

But for now, I say; good luck to President Barack Obama, show the world and most of all, the American people, that they have made the right choice and that you will be worthy their trust and support.

The time for Change has come, so let it be a change in ways of thinking, acting and the American karma.

Wishbrother Songpop2008 show cancelled

Due to personal reasons, Wishbrother canceled Friday nights performance at Songpop2008.
